Four European heads of defence for talks with NZDF and ADF
The New Zealand Defence Force is hosting visits from four European defence chiefs from tomorrow until 9 February.
The visiting defence chiefs are Admiral Robert Bauer from the Netherlands, General Fernando Alejandre Martinez from Spain, Admiral Haakon Bruun-Hanssen from Norway and General Marc Compernol from Belgium.
The four are also visiting Australia, with a number of other Chiefs of Defence, for talks with both the Chief of Defence Force, Lieutenant General (LTGEN) Tim Keating and the Chief of the Australian Defence Force, Air Chief Marshal (ACM) Mark Binskin, this weekend.
At both the Australian meeting, and in New Zealand, the visiting Chiefs of Defence will discuss global security issues, including the ongoing action against ISIS in the Middle East, as well as regional security issues and defence engagement.
