Forced landing of historic aircraft near Base Ohakea

A Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) historic Harvard operating near RNZAF Base Ohakea has undertaken a forced landing in a farm paddock short of the runway, after suffering engine issues.
The two RNZAF personnel on-board evacuated the aircraft with no injuries. Air Force Rescue Fire responders and local emergency services are at the scene.
The North American Harvard aircraft is a historic Second World War aircraft maintained and flown by RNZAF for ceremonial and display purposes.
